IG Sindh claims police will tackle Karachi situation

Karachi: Inspector General Sindh Police Wajid Durrani has admitted that law and order situation in Karachi was worsening but the situation could not be normalized by pressing only a button.

During a press briefing here on Thursday the IG claimed that Police will tackle the situation, adding that the terrorists will not be allowed to play with the lives of people. “The present situation in the city will take time to be normal” he said.

The IG said as many as 84 target killers were arrested during last six months. He added Eagle force of the Karachi police will start working in the city from Friday.

Durrani said that Site Town Police would be given four more vehicles.He said those who have licenses could keep weapons while travelling.

At the time when the police chief was making tall claims about his department’s performance ,15 more people were gunned down in the city by unknown assailants.
