Islamabad: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Pakistan has acquitted a man accused of killing minorities minister Shahbaz Bhatti in Islamabad last month.
During the proceedings, Judge asked the police to provide details of the investigation conducted so far into the Shahbaz Bhatti murder case.
Police had earlier managed to get physical remand for the accused, Hafiz Nazar, citing legal formalities
The police said they had arrested Nazar on the basis of a statement by a witness in the case, Tahir Naveed Bhatti.
On Saturday, police presented the accused in the court and sought extension in the remand, but the court refused to extend Nazar’s remand because of weak proofs.
