Karachi: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said, “there is no cut in Ranger privileges in Karachi, the southern city of Pakistan”.
While talking to media person in Karachi he said that none of the facilities or privileges given to the personnel of the Rangers were being taken back. He also directed the security forces to keep a close vigil on the foreigners.
Malik said that said the government was aware that Rangers were working for maintaining law and order in the metropolis without any discrimination and proving a support to Karachi police.
He also appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Rangers and police to curb lawlessness and target killings from the city.
At the one hand the country’s interior minister applauded the performance of law enforces in Karachi, but at the same time target killing incidents have been reporting on regular basis. At least 75 people have been killed within a week.
