Rawalpindi: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said that the Pakistan army supports probe commission into the killing of journalist Saleem Shahzad.
According to a statement issued here on Friday the ISPR said investigation should be carried out into Shahzad’s killing and the people should be apprised about the truth.
The statement noted that the army had reservations over the allegations being levlled against the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). “All the allegations being levelled against the ISI are baseless” it maintained.
The ISPR said such allegations have been levelled against the ISI but proved false in the past.
Shehzad on May 29 was found dead near Head Rasool in Mandi Bahuddin district of Punjab, some 150 kilometer form the Pakistani capital, three days after he had gone missing while on his way to a TV station in Islamabad.
