Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that police alone could not maintain law and order in Karachi and a single incident should not be used against Rangers.
Talking to reporters outside the parliament house on Thursday Malik said Rangers were deployed in the province after Sindh government request and a single incident–extra judicial killing of youth by Rangers” –should not be used against the paramilitary force.
He requested the political parties not to issue statements against the ISI and the military.” We should support the army in fight against terrorists” Mali said.
The minister said probe commission into journalist Saleem Shahzad killing was formed before the journalists’ sit-in.
