Islamabad: Pakistan has rejected the news stories published in the US and western media about military chief Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and termed them as base less and false.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Tehmina Janua in a news briefing here said the news item had nothing to do with reality.
Replying a query she said that US drone attacks in tribal region were intolerable and the issue had been raised time and again with the US . “There is some difference of opinion” she added.
The spokesperson said talks between foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India would be held this month. All issues, including Kashmir would come under discussion.
It is to mention here that US media reported that Gen Kayani was under severe pressure by fellow officers who demanded him to explain why Pakistan supports US policy.
