Karachi: The latest wave of target killing in Karachi, the commercial hub of the nuclear nation and home to at least 20 million people, have claimed 24 lives during the last three days.
At least three people, including two children were gunned down in parts of Ornagi town and half dozen injured by unknown assailants on Wednesday.
TV reports say the situation is improving following armed clashes between armed groups in Orangi, Banaras, Qasba, Ali Garh and adjacent areas with public transport seen on roads, shops and petrol pumps are open whereas extra police contingent has been deployed to control law and order situation.
Meanwhile, clash between two student groups in Urdu University Gulshan-e-Iqbal left a policeman and two students injured.
