Miran Shah: Local tribesmen in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region opened fire on the suspected US drones on early Tuesday morning, local television reported.
The US drones made low flights in Data Khel area of North Waziristan, and the tribesmen targeted drones with heavy and automatic weapons, local Dunya News reported.
US drones have been conducting a series of strikes inside Pakistan, especially after the death of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, blaming Pakistan’s inability to curtain Taliban insurgency in the tribal regions.
The US drones fired several missiles in three separate attacks, targeting local residents in South and North Waziristan tribal regions of Pakistan on Monday, killing at least 22 people.
