Karachi: Dell, a well known computer hardware manufacturer which is in exclusive partnership with Mobilink in Pakistan, has announced the launch of the much-awaited Dell Streak 5 handset in Pakistan. According to shared details, ” Dell Streak 5 is an all-in-one ultra-portable 5-inch Android™-based Pocket Tablet designed to provide users with the best web-browsing, digital entertainment, social connection, and personal navigation experience”.
Launched in partnership with Mobilink, Pakistan’s market leader in cellular services with the largest portfolio of value added services and handsets, the Dell Streak 5 comes with three months of complimentary GPRS on the Mobilink network.
Hitting a Sweet Spot
“The Dell Streak 5 is designed for people who are constantly interacting online and want to expand their abilities to access their digital lives on-the-go,” said Ali Jaleel, general manager, Developing Markets Group, Dell.
The spacious 5-inch screen is ideal for an optimised web-browsing experience with less squinting and pinching. Users can play games and watch HD videos on the brilliant and scratch-resistant Gorilla® Glass screen, capture precious moments with the rear-facing 5 MP auto-focus camera with dual LED flash or use the front-facing VGA webcam for video calls.
On-the-go students, mobile professionals and active families can also use the Dell Streak as a portable Wi-Fi hot-spot that can be shared with up to eight devices. Additionally, the built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity will enable users with easy access for downloading and listening to music, updating social networking status in real-time, and staying connected to friends and family through e-mail, text, IM, and voice calls. Personal navigation is also enhanced with the integrated A-GPS and e-compass features for location-based applications.
The Dell Streak comes with Dell’s new user interface, stage, which provides users with instant access to their favorite content – bringing content to your fingertips.

Dell Streak is now available at selected Mobilink Customer Care centers in selected cities at a retail price of Rs49,999 with three months of Free mobile Internet. Mobilink customers will also get a free leather case and an extra battery with purchase of Dell Streak.
