Islamabad: The Supreme Court on Friday ordered the government to immediately remove Javed Bukhari as Deputy Director Anti Narcotics and conduct departmental action against him for his separation form the Haj corruption case as investigation officer Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA).
A larger bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the Haj corruption case. Former investigation officers into the case Hussain Asghar and Javed Bukhari submitted their replies on the show-cause notices issued by the SC for their separation form the case.
Hussain Asghar told the court that he was transferd by the DG FIA Malik Anwar Iqbal and was not willing to leave the charge as the investigation officer.
The CJ expressing his annoyance over the DG FIA said the court was going to issue another contempt of court notice.
The CJ observed that if Hussain Asghar was not  re-inducted as investigation officer into the case the court would issue orders in this regard.
