Hillary Clinton would meet with the military and political leadership to ease the tensions between the two allies during her visit. She is visiting Pakistan at a very critical phase when the militants have intensified their attacks after the killing of Osama bin Laden.

After the covert US operation in Abbottabad, reports were emerging that the US Secretary of State would cancel her visit to Pakistan.
