Lahore: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that the government’s resolution in the joint session of the parliament was weak and added that  points regarding stopping drone attacks, Nato supplies, review into relations with the US have been included by his party.
He was speaking to media after a meeting with US Ambassador Cameron Munter at his Raiwind palace. He demanded that proposed Judicial Commission into Abbottabad operation be constituted as soon as possible. Nawaz said that budget of secret agencies should be passed by the parliament and the agencies should not run parallel government in the country.” Role of secret agencies should be determined” he said, adding that the agencies should not be involved in forming political alliances and dividing parties.
Nawaz said that elected government should make foreign policies while the relations with other countries, including, India, US Afghanistan should also be decided by the democratic government.
He added that sanctity of ballot box should be preserved in the country that would led to eliminating terrorism and extremism.
He said that composition and modalities of the probe commission would be decided by the prime minister and opposition leader.Nawaz warned that if delaying tactic were used in forming the commission he would devise future course of action.
Nawaz said that he discussed all the issues during his meeting with US envoy and apprised him of Pakistan’s concerns over US policies.i have told him unilateralism would not work in Pak-US relations.
The former prime minister said that why the Shamsi airbase was being used by the foreigner, adding that Pakistan has lost more than 35,000 live in battling against terrorists and on the other hand its sovereignty was also violated by the others by launching unilateral raid.
