Islamabad: Pakistani mountaineer, Hassan Sadpara, hoisted Pakistani flag on the summit of Mount Everest on Thursday.
Sadpara 48, is a native of Skardu accomplished his mission without oxygen and other necessary equipment.
The expedition was launched by the Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) under the patronage of President Asif Ali Zardari.
The expedition team left Islamabad for Nepal on March 30. Sadkara has also climbed five mountains of over 8,000 metres in height including K2, Nanga Parbat, and Broad Peak.
