Washington: White House spokesmanĀ J Carney has said that Osama Bin Laden was unequipped at the time of operation, and war against Al Qaeda would continue despite Al Qaeda Chief was shot dead inĀ Pakistan on late Sunday night.
While briefing to media representatives on Tuesday Carney said the US special forces carried out at least forty minutes operation in Abottabad to get Osama Bin Laden.
He said relationships with Pakistan are multifaceted but very important. He said Pakistan has been very useful against Al Qaeda. War against Al Qaeda was not only of the US, but Pakistanās as well, he added.
Bin Laden could not be arrested alive because his fellows were offering resistance to the US commandos. Decision to shot Bin Laden dead had been taken, according to the situation, Carney added.
The spokesman said operation against Bin Laden was launched on the direction of the US President Barack Obama.
