Attock: At least 11 tankers carrying fuel for NATO forces in Afghanistan have been set on fire while four security personnel were also killed in Attock, sources said.
The sources said unknown armed miscreants opened indiscriminate fire on the tankers in Pindi Khaip Tehsil of Attock some 80 kilometer (50 mile) from Islamabad. After receiving information local police rushed to the spot.
Both the police and the miscreants started heavy exchange of fire, resultantly four police personnel including a sub-inspector of Dhalyan police check-post were killed, the sources said.
Fire tenders have started reaching the spot to extinguish the fire.
Heavy contingent of security forces rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area, and started search operation to trace the miscreants. No arrest was made so far.
