Islamabad: Pakistan and India on Wednesday began trade talks as commerce secretaries of both the countries are holding first round of two-day talks.
Pakistan’s Commerce Secretary Zaffar Mehmood and his Indian counterpart Rahul Khullar resumed talks on trade expansion and removal of non-tariff barriers between the two countries.
Talks between the commerce secretaries are expected to focus on strengthening trade relations that have remained at a standstill since the Mumbai attacks.
Pakistan will persuade India to withdraw its resistance to the proposed EU trade concessions offered to the country in the wake of devastating floods last year.
