Dera Ghazi Khan: An SHO was shot dead while two others police personnel were sustained injuries in Dera Ghazi Khan, eastern city of Pakistan, Monday late night.
According to police, the incident took place near Tonsa Bypass when SHO Kala police station Safdar Buzdar along with his police party was on routine patrolling. Where unidentified assailant ambushed police van with heavy weapons, resultantly the SHO died on the spot while an Assistant Sub-Inspector and Constable received severe bullet injuries.
The deceased and two injured were rushed to District Headquarter Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan for autopsy and treatment.
The identities of the two injured cops were not immediately released.
Heavy contingent of police cordoned off the area and started search operation for the arrest of the assailants. However, no arrest was made till filing the story.
