Washington: United States President Barack Obama has condemned the desecration of Holy Quran from one of the two American pastor, Terry Jones, in a church in Florida on Saturday.
In a statement Obama termed the act of desecration of the Holy Quran as cowardly act but he said killing of innocent people in violent demonstration is “extreme intolerance and bigotry”.
He said no religion in the world gives permission to profanation of any religion of the world but at the same time killing of innocent people is not a good response. No religion tolerates the slaughter and beheading of innocent people, and there is no justification for such a dishonorable and deplorable act, he added.
Obama’s statement comes in front of public after the killing of 17 UN employees in Afghanistan.
Massive protest demonstration have been organizing in Muslim world to condemned the burning of Holy Quran from a US pastor, demanding strict action against Terry Jones.
Time has come to work together to promote peace and harmony in the globe.
