Lahore: Additional Director Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has said that Interpol would arrest the leading accused of National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) scandal, Mohsin Habib Waraich and hand over to Pakistan.
Zafar Qureshi on Sunday evening said that FIA and Interpol are in close contact for last few months in regard with the issue. He said accounts of Waraich in London and other countries have been seized.
The additional director said Waraich would be arrested if was founded anywhere in London and all the information regarding NICL scandal have been provided to UK government through Interpol.
He said Waraich’s family would give PKR 100 million out of PKR 420 million to NICL through FIA. The money would be submitted in the trail court through post dated agreement, he added.
He disclosed that FIA has ascertained the accounts of Monis Ilahi worth 320 million. He revealed that 180 million were found in Ilahi’s national and foreign accounts while 140 million were found in Ilahi’s wife account.
Qureshi said 804 kanal land worth one billion 680 million will be kept as mortgage to NICL.
