Mohali: India wrapped up Pakistan in a cricket World Cup 2011 semifinal, defeating green shirts by 29 runs at Punjab Association Cricket Stadium, Mohali on Wednesday.
Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Harbajhan Singh and Yuvraj Singh got two wickets each from Indian side.
Misbah-ul-Haq was the top scorer from Pakistan and he scored 56 runs. Mohammad Hafeez, Asad Shafiq and Umar Akmal scored 43, 30 and 29 runs, respectively, while Kamran Akmal and skipper Shahid Afridi scored 19 runs each.
Earlier, Indian captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni won the toss and chose to bat first. India scored 260 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 50 overs.
Little master Sachin Tendulkar scored 85 runs. Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, MS Dhoni, Ruresh Raina and Harbajhan Singh scored 38, 27, 25, 36 and 12 runs, respectively.
Wahab Riaz grabbed five Indian players, while Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez got two and one wicket, respectively.
Sachin Tendulkar was declared man of the match owing to his good batting performance.
