Karachi: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has demanded that the American government take action against Bishop Terry Jones who desecrated the Holy Quran or prove that he was mad.
He while talking with media persons at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport Karachi on Sunday said that target killing in Karachi was preplanned. He said private killers spread terrorism everywhere.
Malik appealed to political parties to play their role for improving law and order in Karachi.
The interior minister said various terrorist plans have been uncovered and foiled. He said People’s Peace Committee (popularly known as Aman Committee) has been banned in Karachi.
He said to discuss law and order situation a meeting will be organised in Karachi on Monday.
Malik said Gopal Das, an Indian who had been prisoner in Pakistan, has been released as goodwill gesture for improvement in Pak-India relationship. He said Das had been arrested 27 years ago and seven months imprisonment remained at the time of announcement of his release.
He said direction has been given for the immediate release of Das.
He urged media persons not to instigate people on the Raymond Davis case because judiciary had released him.
