Tripoli: At least 40 people were killed and 300 others wounded as Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi forces opened fire on anti-government protesters in Misrata on Monday.Thousands of people have been killed during fierce clashes between anti-government people and Gaddafi forces.
Libyan opposition leaders have blamed that over 8000 people have been killed. They accused Gaddafi and said he should resign because majority of people do not want to see him ruling over Libya.
On the other hand, the United States Defense Secretary Robert Gates has said that to kill Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi would be a blunder. He said the US would limit it position in Libya soon.
