Tripoli: At least 80 people have been killed in international military operation in Libya on Saturday, Libyan officials said. The officials said that and more than 200 people wounded in the missile attacks. Number of causalities may rise as various injured are serious, the officials said.
Emergency has been imposed in the hospitals.
Blasts and aerial firing have been reported in Tripoli, foreign news agency reported.
Britain fighters planes have also started bombardment in Libya. Earlier, French fighter jets fired missiles in Libya, while one French fighter jet was also destroyed by Gaddafi forces.
Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi has asked for an emergency meeting of the Security Council of the United Nation to discuss the issue. He said international military operation on Libya is illegal and injustice.
There are reports that International troops fired missiles near the headquarter of Muammar Gaddafi.
African Union has demanded to the UN to stop operation with immediate effect.
