Islamabad: Pakistan’s Foreign office on Friday summoned US ambassador Cameron Munter, seeking explanation over Thursday’s drone strike in North Waziristan Tribal region in which 42 people were killed and several injured.
Pakistan has recorded its protest with the US over drone attacks.Sources said that Pakistan has conveyed its message to the US that the drone attacks in Pakistani territory would badly affect the war on terror.
The sources said that Pakistan has refused to participate in the upcoming tripartite(US, Pakistan, Afghanistan) talks in Brussels scheduled on March 26 in protest against the drone attacks.
Cameron Munter has said that he would apprise the US authorities about reservations of Pakistan.
