Lahore: A local court on Friday sent Moonis Elahi on three days physical remand in connection with National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam probe.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) produced Moonis before a civil judge Ehtesham Muhammad and sought seven days remand.
The FIA prayed that Rs 302 million was shifted in Moonis account in line with NICL fraud and agency was yet to recover the embezzled amount.
However the judge granted only three days remand and directed the FIA to produce the accused before the court on March 21.
Strict security arrangements were made out side the court premises.
Moonis Elahi, a son of former Punjab chief minister Pervez Elahi was arrested by the FIA on Thursday.
