Peshawar: Two NATO tankers were torched in an attackĀ in Peshawar, the northern area of Pakistan, on Wednesday late night, sources said.
The incident took place in Karkhano Market area near a police check-post when unidentified armed miscreant opened fire on tankers and fled from the spot, sources said.
Local police rushed to the spot on time and heavy exchange of fire were restored from the police and ambushers.
The sources said that two tankers have been completely damaged while many others caught fire.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot and have been trying to extinguish the fire.
Heavy contingent of police have been deployed in the area and the police have started search operation for the arrest of the criminal.
No arrest was made till filing the report.
