Lahore: A Pakistani court on Wednesday exonerated CIA contractor Raymond Davis involved in killing two Pakistanis, on January 27 .
Sources said that families of slain men (Faizan and Faheem) have signed the documents forgiving his crime.
Sources said that Additional Session Judge Yousaf Ojla acquitted Davis from double murder case after all family members of slain men pardoned him.
However, Asad Manzoor Butt lawyer of the victim families alleged that he was not allowed in the hearing of double murder case and was detained for several hours, adding that Americans forced the families to sign the documents of “Dayyat” an Islamic law according to that a murderer is released after paying blood money to the family of slain person”  .
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanullah has confirmed that Davis has been acquitted after blood money was paid.
The sources said that Rs 200 million have been paid to the families of slain men and US visas have also been issued to them.
Senior Pakistani journalist Javed Chaudhry on his facebook status has said that families of Faizan and Faheem were likely to be shifted to Saudi Arabia soon.
Media reports said that a US plane has left for Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan with Davis on board.
Diplomatic ties between the US and Pakistan had strained after January shooting incident as the US was insisting Davis enjoyed diplomatic immunity,
