Faisalabad, Punjab:At least 20 people were killed and another 100 injured in a blast in civil line area of Faisalabad, an industrial city of Punjab, sources said.
The sources said that the blast occurred out side Regency Plaza, where an office of a sensitive organisation is located, damaging three adjoining houses, a CNG station and 10 vehicles.
District Coordination Officer Faisalabad Naseem Sadiq told that the bomb was planted in the vehicle.
The dead and injured were shifted to Alliade Hospital were five of the injured were said to be in critical condition.An emergency has been declared in all the hospitals of the city.
Police and rescue workers have reached to the spot and cordoned off the area.
Eyewitnesses said that the blast occurred near a CNG station and unknown assailant resorted to extensive firing before the blast.
Source said that half portion of the PIA office building was collapsed in the blast.
Police claimed to have arrested a suspected person near the blast site.

A large number of doctors who have been on strike and boycotting their duties to press the authorities for acceptance of their demands under the banner of Young Doctors Association, immediately resumed duties shortly after the blast.
