Peshawar: Militants attacked two state-run schools in Khyber and Kohat region of northwest Pakistan, on Saturday.
Sources said unknown attackers used explosives in the attack, destroying a school in Khyber tribal region’s Bara area.
The school’s walls and ceiling were badly damaged in the attack.
Aother school was attacked by militants using explosives in the Kohat region, some 30 kilometer from Peshawar. At least three rooms in the school building were demolished in the attack.
More than 500 schools have been destroyed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) where the Pakistan’s military has been battling Taliban led insurgency.
