Lahore: Agronomists say that the recent rains and snowfall in the country especially in Punjab would have positive impact on Rabi crops and has brightened the prospect of bumper wheat crops.
Talking to The News Tribe, they said that the recent rains brought pleasant and smiles on faces of growers as the recent waves would have positive impact on Rabi crops and would help in enhancing agricultural yield.
They said that the snowfall on the hills would play a pivotal role in increasing water level in water reservoirs while fruit trees especially apple would get benefit from the snowfall. The snowfall would help overcome water shortage in April, May and June, they added.
It is up to, now, water experts to make effective planning for better utilization of availability of the extra ordinary water resources for augmenting the electricity and reducing the burden of load shedding in the country, they asserted.
