Lahore: The Federal investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday refused to record statement of Moonis Elahi in National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) scam unless he produced copy of interim bail.
An FIA officer said that Moonis Elahi should first get bail from the court. Then his statement would be recorded, he said.
Moonis, son of former Punjab chief minister Pervez Ealhi, told reporters that he waited for three hours to give statement to FIA, but nobody recorded his statement.
FIA had issued arrest warrant for Monnis in connection with the NICL multi-million scam probe when he was abroad.
