New Delhi: Indian Home Minsiter P Chadambaram has offered Pakistan to send its investigators to India to question Ajmal Kasab and other suspects in the Mumbai terror attacks.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said that India was awaiting a reply from Pakistan on its request to send officials to question the suspects before it decides on allowing a commission for Islamabad.
“We are awaiting an answer for the question that we have put forth,” Chidambaram said.
He said documentary evidence would be provided to Pakistan in the next few days.
The minister said India had agreed to allow a commission from Pakistan to visit here in connection with the Mumbai investigations.
“We just agreed to allow a commission to come to India to record the evidence of the Investigating Officer, the Magistrate, who recorded the statements, and some doctors, who conducted the post mortem,” Chidambaram said.
