Kandahar: At least eight people were killed and several injured in two blasts in Kandahar, in southern Afghanistan, at a dog fight on Sunday, sources said.
Sources said that the explosions occurred in the Arghandab district where the Nato forces have been fighting against Taliban.
Though dog fights are against the law in Afghanistan, they are still common and often ignored by the authorities.
Sources said police had heard about the fight and had just arrived to break it up when a bomb exploded. Another went off as security forces got out of their vehicle, they added.
