Srinagar: Veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that oppressive policy of India cannot break the resolve of the people of disputed Kashmir to get freedom from Indian bondage.
Syed Ali Gilani who is in New Delhi for medical check-up in a statement issued in Srinagar said that New Delhi would not be able to suppress Kashmiris’ liberation struggle by keeping the pro-freedom leaders in jails.
He deplored that the Indian authorities had already arrested 3900 persons and were raising false alarms in order to justify this ‘jail bharo’ movement. “To crush the freedom movement of Kashmiris, New Delhi and the state administration have chalked a plan under which pro-freedom leaders will be detained in jails for longer periods and any Kashmiri, who dares walk with his head held high would be jailed,” he said.
