Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif has linked upcoming talks between PML-N and government committees with the Sindh home minister’s apology for his Sunday’s fiery speech against his party.
Talking to party workers here on Monday he said that he could not embrace incompetent government anymore, adding that if Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza did not render pardon for threatening the PML-N the scheduled talks would be cancelled.
Nawaz said that he had ruled out the suggestion of making alliance with the PML-Q during the emergency in Punjab, adding that he could not think of making alliance with the elements that strengthened military ruler Pervez Musharraf.
The former premier said that he did not want to throw the country into anarchy.
Nawaz said that whenever the army came into power it destroyed the country and added to the miseries of the masses, adding it is incumbent upon the army to protect the country and refrain from politics.
He noted that had Musharraf been in power Raymond Davis would have been handed over to the US.
