Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyet Conference has deplored the silence of international human rights groups and Indian civil society over the arrests and detentions of innocent youth under draconian laws such as Public Safety Act (PSA) in disputed Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the authorities in the disputed Kashmir were playing with the future of Kashmiri youth by arresting them under draconian laws like PSA and shifting them to jails outside the territory.
“Unfortunately, the international rights groups and the civil society in India are watching these events with criminal silence,” he said.
The spokesman pointed out that the international community couldn’t shy away from its responsibility towards the political and human issue of Kashmir.
