Kabul: At lest five Afghan civilian were killed and several others wounded in clashes between US-led NATO forces and Taliban militants in eastern Afghanistan.
Five civilian including two women and a child were killed after militants ambushed a NATO vehicle in Afghanistan’s eastern Kunar Province. The clashes also left several others injured.
Kunar Police Chief, Brig. Gen. Khalilullah Ziayee said that the civilians were killed in Asmar district.
Civilian casualties caused by NATO attacks have been a major source of tension between Afghan President Hamid Karzai and the US-led military alliance.
