Badin: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday directed the Chairman National Disaster Management Authority to rush fire extinguishing material and equipment for putting out fire at Shah Alam Market, Lahore. In a telephonic message from Badin, the Prime Minister ordered NDMA to place all the required supplies at the disposal of the Punjab Government to help overcome the fire and save further loss of property.
The fire which erupted in Behria Centre Shah Alam Market which engulfed various buildings could not be extinguished so far after an eight hours. At least 22 people sustain burn injuries.
