Islamabad: The Supreme Court has sought police record pertaining to cases of missing persons.A four-member bench comprising Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Asif Saeed Khosa on Thursday heard the case.
Justice Javed Iqbal instructed the IG police to submit record of missing persons and warned that action would be taken against him if the same was not produced before the court.
The court remarked that the bench would take up the case of each missing person on a weekly basis.
Justice Javed Iqbal remarked that the cases of those missing persons would be taken up first, in which evidences were available, adding that the court action is of no use if the missing persons are not recovered.
