Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan expressed annoyance over Balochistan government for not presenting complete record of Reko Diq project before the court on Tuesday.A four-member bench of the SC comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Muhammad Sair Ali, Justice Ghulam Rabbani and Justice Khalilur Rehman Ramday heard the case.
Justice Ramday observed that the Balochistan government was wasting the courts time by not producing original record of the project.
Advocate General Balochistan Salahuddin Mengal associate license was issued to the foreign mining company.
The court remarked that the any exploring company could extract one mineral on one license.
Federal Minister for Natural resources appeared before the court and told that the gold reservoirs were over 1275 while quantity of silver reservoirs was unknown so far.
The court remarked that agreements were signed prior to adopting any conduct.
