Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Wajid Ali Durrani on Thursday said that Islamabad police team had reached in Dubai to arrest the main accused involved in murder of former Attorney General Sardar Raza, said.
Talking to journalists here, he said that police team of Islamabad have reached Dubai to nab Rooh Ullah, main accused in murder of former Attorney General Sardar Raza. It is to mention that Supreme Court of Pakistan had taken notice into this case. Main accused of this case Rooh Ullah was at large and Shalimar police a few days back arrested his close aide Fazal Ahmed who allegedly assisted him to flee abroad by arranging fake passport after the murder.
During the interrogation from already detained murder accused Mamor Khan,it was ascertained that Fazal Ahmed assisted Rooh Ullah in attaining fake passport to proceed Afghanistan on the same passport.
The former IGP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam worked hard to comply the orders of the apex court and constituted special teams to arrest the accused of this murder. His efforts has brought results and Islamabad police have now hinted to arrest the main accused Rooh Ullah soon.
Talking to media men, IGP Islamabad Wajid Ali Durrani said that he is reviewing the matters of various police units after assuming the charge. “
The IGP said that he has talked with Secretary Interior and recruitment process would be started again in Islamabad police to overcome the issue of strength shortage
