Gujranwala: The business activities in Gujranwala region are adversely affected as the gas supply remained suspended on the third consecutive day on Tuesday.
The gas supply to the industrial units and CNG stations have been suspended under the gas load management plan in different parts of the province.
Six districts of Gujranwala are now facing suspension for third day as the gas supply to at least 350 CNG stations has been suspended and over 800 industrial units, including ceramics and sanitary-ware have come to a halt, rendering thousands of daily-wage workers jobless.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has been assuring the people that he would take up the matter with the prime minister but his meeting with the premier brought no fruits to the people. The meeting was held in Lahore in the backdrop of political crises prevailing in the country after the key allies of the government the MQM and JUI-F had quitted the federal cabinet and announced to sit on opposition benches. However, the political crises came to an end but the miseries of daily-wage workers are multiplying under the “The Gas Load Management Plan” .
