New Delhi: An Indian amry court on Saturday announced sentenced to serving Lieutenant General P K Rath after being found guilty in the Sukna Land Scam case.
Pk Rath has lost 15 years pension while his service has also been cut by two years in the verdict.
The General had given a no-objection certificate (NOC) to a private developer to commercially develop a 71-acre land adjacent to the Sukna military station in Darjeeling in December 2009 district despite repeated objections by his own officers.
Rath also issued the NOC without informing Eastern Command or Army Headquarters.
