Rawalpindi: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday extended physical remand of former Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Saud Aziz and Khurram Shahzad, a former Superintendent of Police (SP) at Rawal Town. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) produced both police officials before the court with the plea of extending their physical remand. The ATC judge Rana Nisar Ahmed gave 10 days remand to the agency.
Defence counsel opposed the plea of extending physical remand of the accused while FIA prosecutor contended that the agency has yet to recovered the mobile phone sets that were used by the two officers on that day of Benazir’s assassination.
The court directed the FIA to produce the accused on February 1.
