Islamabad: The report of the judicial commission formed for recovery of the missing persons was presented in Supreme Court on Monday.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Javed Iqbal resumed hearing of the missing persons’ case after nine months break.
The commission’s report said that it managed to trace 134 missing persons. The commission also suggested that the parliament should legislate in order to curb the practice of enforced disappearances.
On this Justice Javed Iqbal directed the government to submit a response to the commission’s report.
Justice Javed Iqbal remarked that 2011 would be the year of the recovery of missing persons.
