ISTANBUL: An attempt to hijack a plane, which was flying to Istanbul from Oslo, was foiled by other passengers on board on Thursday.
A hijacker, whose name was not released yet, announced that he had a bomb, wanted to enter in a cockpit of the place to return the plane of Turkish Airline to Oslo, but the on board passengers gently caught the hijacker and then plane was safely landed at Istanbul Airport.
The hijacker was handed over to security officials at the airport for further investigation. However, all the passengers and the staff of the plane are safe and no bomb was recovered from his possession.
