Islamabad: Mumtaz Qadri, the alleged assassin of Punjab governor, could not be produced before the Anti-terrorism Court, Rawalpindi, where the police was to get his physical remand on Thursday.
Police sources told The News Tribe that the accused could not be produced before the court due to security concerns. The commissioner, Islamabad, has issued a notification, transferring the Anti-terrorism Court to Islamabad for one day to conduct proceedings in the Punjab governor murder case. However, the judge has refused to go to Islamabad.
