Karachi: Pakistan’s security agencies on Monday warned Sindh government to take strict security measure around the Central Jail in Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, amid threat of militant attack in the upcoming days.
According to a report conveyed to the Sindh government, the militants were preparing to attack the central jail and free their almost 35 aides present inside the jail.
The report further said that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants have planned the raid and were waiting for a suitable time to execute it.
“Militants might use an explosive laden car to break the walls of the jail,” the report said.
Meanwhile, a high security meeting was also underway in the city to devise a strategy in order to avert any such raid on the jail. Police, Rangers and other security officials participated in the meeting.
