Snooker: Pakistan’s Muhammad Asif reaches world championship final

Sofia, Bulgaria: Pakistani premier cueist Muhammad Asif beat Alex Borg of Malta by 7-1 to reach the final of World Snooker Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Asif will play the winner of second semi-final between Gary Wilson and Noppon Saengkham.

Earlier in the day, Asif beat Syrian opponent Omar Alkojah by 6-2 in their quarter-final.

Asif is the third Pakistani to play IBSF World Snooker Championship final after Mohammad Yousaf (in 1994) and Saleh Muhammad (in 2003).
