Chaman: A local leader of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-Ideological), Maulana Abdul Ghani was shot dead in Chaman, a border town of Baluchistan, here on Wednesday.
According to sources, some unidentified men opened fire on Maulana Abdul Ghani resulting in serious injuries to him. He was rushed to a local hospital in the town, where doctors referred him to Quetta due to his precarious condition. The attacker managed to flee.
The injured JUI-F leader succumbed to his injuries on the way to Quetta from Chaman.
Meanwhile, JUI-Ideological while strongly condemning the killing of it leader has given strike call for Thursday in Chaman.
